Daniel Hefferton began his training in the martial arts at the age of sixteen (beginning in Kenpo Karate).  He is a certified Associate Instructor in Jeet Kune Do Concepts (JKDC) and Apprentice Instructor in Filipino Martial Arts (FMA) under Sifu / Guro Grant Richardson (Infinity Fighting Systems) within the Paul Vunak/ Inosanto lineage of JKDC and Inosanto/Lacoste Kali.

Daniel Hefferton has been training in the JKDC/Kali systems for over 10 years.  In addition to Sifu Richardson’s teachings, he has trained with Grant Sawyer (Sunrise Martial Arts), and attended seminars with Dan Inosanto (Inosanto Academy) in Montreal and Makoto Kabayama (JKD Family) in Toronto.

He has taught graphic designers, IT professionals, scientists, teachers, scholars, security officers, soldiers, and members of the skilled trade community.   The diversity of his clientele shows that anyone can learn self defense and martial arts, regardless of background.  This also highlights his ability to modify his teaching methods to meet the needs of anyone requiring instruction.  Preparedness has always been one of his core values, as such, he has expanded his self-reliance expertise into the area of emergency preparedness.

His mission is to teach his students how to trust themselves, develop game plans, focus their problem solving skills, and find humor in life.  Because nothing hits harder than life, hence the philosopy “Train to fight, Fight to live.”
